Robin D. Ray, Chairman of the Board
Robin is President of Old Dominion Tobacco Co. T/A, Atlantic Dominion Distributors, the parent company of S & K Sales Co. She has been President of Atlantic Dominion Distributors since 1982 and is the fourth generation to actively manage and control the company.
Robin has received many national and local business awards and is very active on industry and civic boards.
Robin is a graduate of the University of Georgia.
Richard T. Ray, President
Richard joined S & K Sales Co. as its Executive Vice President in 1995 and was made president in 1998. He has an extensive background in sales and marketing. In addition, he has held several key advisory positions with Atlantic Dominion Distributors, the parent company of S & K Sales Co.
Richard is an active member of the American Logistics Association and is on the Board of Directors of the Armed Forces Marketing Council, a league of business firms representing manufacturers.
Richard has also served as an officer and board member of many leading Virginia charitable and civic organizations.
Richard is a graduate of Randolph-Macon College.
Katherine M. Hines, Vice President
Katherine M. Hines is Vice President of S & K Sales Co. and has been in this role since 2011, overseeing strategic business development and special projects. She is the fifth generation to have an active management role with her family businesses. Katherine also is an officer and director of Atlantic Dominion Distributors, the parent company. Katherine was formerly employed in brand management with Anheuser-Busch Inbev, in national accounts with PepsiCo, and in field sales with The Hershey Company. She is an active member of the ALA, Virginia Beach Vision, and the board of the Virginia Aquarium. Katherine holds a MBA from the University of Virginia and an undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina.
Peter J. Murphy, III, Vice President Commissary
Peter has been with S & K Sales Co. since 1988. Peter has held various positions within the firm, including Territory Manager, Northeast Regional Manager, National Accounts Manager – DeCA HQ, Director of National Accounts – DeCA HQ, National Sales Manager, VP of Commissary Sales.
Peter is an active member of the American Logistics Association, and is past Chairman of the Board of Directors. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors, member of the Commissary Council, and various sub committees. Graduate University of Baltimore
Bill Poole, Vice President Sales Exchange Division
Bill joined S & K Sales Co. as Vice President Exchange Marketing in 1988 and was named Vice President Sales Exchange Division in 1991. Bill oversees the Exchange Sales and Marketing Divisions including Ships and Veterans Canteens Sales Operations.
A graduate of the U.S. Army Engineer Officer Candidate School, Bill's military assignments as a Commissioned Officer include service in Vietnam.
Bill was formerly the National Military Sales Manager at Chesebrough-Ponds Inc. Bill's professional experience includes serving as Vice President Sales, Director of Marketing, National Sales Manager, Regional Manager, District Manager with Sarvis Inc., and as Account Manager and Sales Territory Manager for Thomas J. Lipton Co.
A graduate of the University of North Texas with a bachelors degree in Marketing. Bill and his wife Linda are the proud parents of Erin and John.
John Eakin, Vice President of International Sales
John joined S & K Sales Co. as Vice President of Sales in 1992. John oversees the Commissary Sales and Marketing and Hawaii Civilian Divisions.
John was formerly employed in the military resale business as Vice President Commissary Division of Sarvis Inc. John's sales experience began with Procter & Gamble. Following Procter & Gamble John spent 12 years with Johnson & Johnson in various sales and sales management position, 3 years as National Sales Manager with William Underwood Co. and 9 years as Vice President of Sales and Distribution with Lea & Perrins.
Steve Jones, Vice President Finance
Steve joined S & K Sales Co. in 1986. Steve has diverse financial leadership skills and oversees the Accounting, Customer Service/Operations and Information Services teams.
Steve was formerly the controller for a major furniture retailer. In addition, Steve has five years public accounting experience working in the Norfolk Virginia office of Ernst & Whinney, which later merged and became Ernst & Young. Steve has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1975. He is currently a member of the American Institute of CPA's.
Steve is a graduate of The College of William & Mary.
